HealthTree is dedicated to accelerating the search for cures for blood cancers. Its innovative model can save lives today and help find cures for tomorrow. By securely sharing your medical records through HealthTree Cure Hub, you gain access to life-changing resources and become a Cure Contributor, playing a crucial role in driving research that could lead to breakthroughs.

How Does HealthTree’s Research Process Differ from Traditional Methods?

Research conducted through HealthTree significantly accelerates the process of finding answers. Unlike traditional research, which involves lengthy fundraising, Institutional Review Board (IRB) approvals, and extended data collection timelines, HealthTree integrates data collection and analysis in a streamlined manner.

Traditional research often takes years before results are published, as shown in the comparison chart above. For instance:

  • Regular research requires 10-18 months just for fundraising and another 6-18 months for data collection.

  • HealthTree compresses this timeline by enabling surveys, data collection, and analysis to be conducted in as little as 2-4 months. This acceleration allows researchers to focus on interpreting results and publishing impactful findings sooner.

By participating in HealthTree studies, you’re helping to reduce these barriers, making meaningful progress possible much faster than conventional research methods.

HealthTree saves time, money, and lives!

How Can I Participate?

At the HealthTree Foundation for Blood Cancers, we gather the information analyzed for research by requesting you to complete surveys.

If you'd like to know which study surveys are active, visit the Surveys & Studies section in your HealthTree Cure Hub profile.

You’ll require a validated HealthTree Cure Hub profile to become part of some of our studies. A validated profile means that you've provided access to your medical records and it has been reviewed by our Medical Navigators. This assures that your profile is complete and contains accurate medical data required for a research study. (Learn how to connect your medical records to your Cure Hub profile).

At the start of some surveys, you'll be asked if you agree to share your medical records for the study. If this question is not asked at the beginning of the survey you're completing, it means that it's a study that doesn't require further information or medical data.

Privacy and Security

HealthTree takes your privacy seriously. Your medical data is yours; it does not belong to HealthTree. If you participate in any surveys or studies, your answers can be shared with research organizations, but your personal information—such as name, email, phone number, and address—is never shared with anyone outside of HealthTree. Consult our Privacy Policy here.

Accessing Research Findings

If you'd like to look at previous studies' findings, you can consult the HealthTree Research Publications.
